Potion making 101

With moving to oregon we lost our usual weekly tradition of the DONUT RUN - day old donuts from the local grocery store. The local store is too small and doesn't have a bakery so we've had to find some new ones. One of our new family fun activities is potion making (a.k.a. homemade soda pop). We started with homemade root beer and extended it to Jolly Rancher Green apple and will continue on to other flavors. The kids and brig have a blast. The best part is the dry ice and the fog. The kids go nuts. Here's some pics from our recent explot. We found boiling water produces the best fog.
Lliam felt he needed to reconstruct a scence from Percy's ghostly trick with his trains and the fog.
Etta loves the fog and blowing into it.

That looks like so much fun. It reminds me of Halloween. Donut runs are a missed tradition of mine.
