How firm a foundation

I love that this is one of our children's favorite songs, as it is for brig and I. I often read the words simply because I feel the spirit confirm it's truths and it always breaks through the storms of sadness and discouragement. It's one of only 2 hymns (if I remember correctly) in the hymn book that are written as Christ speaking to us (which means it's also our heavenly father). So as you read imagine them on either side, patting your knee and with an arm around your shoulder - everything will be ok.

How Firm a Foundation
With dignity
1. How firm a foundation, ye Saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in his excellent word!
What more can he say than to you he hath said,
